BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian University women's outdoor track & field squad posted four All-Atlantic Region Track & Field Conference qualifying marks and won one event at the John & Carol Covart Classic hosted by Lehigh University Friday and Saturday.
Moravian Event Winners
- Junior Tara Smurla won the 1,500-meter run with an AARTFC qualifying time of 4:43.37
Moravian Top 10 Finishers
- Junior Margie Rayne placed third in the discus with an AARTFC qualifying toss of 42.78m meters (140-4) while senior Caillie Fish finished tenth at 36.40 meters (119-5)
- Freshman Emma Shafnisky took fourth in the long jump with an AARTFC qualifying mark of 5.40 meters (17-8.75)
- Junior Ali Haefele finished fourth in the triple jump with an AARTFC qualifying distance of 11.12 meters (36-5.75) while freshman Bella Fiore was tenth at 9.95 meters (32-7.75)
- Haefele also placed fourth in the high jump at 1.57 meters (5-1.75) while junior Caroline Melillo was ninth at 1.42 meters (4-7.75) and freshman Erika Dietz took tenth at 1.36 meters (4-5.5)
- Senior Abby Giamoni finished fifth in the 100-meter dash in 12.68 seconds
- Senior Mikayla Woodring was fifth in the shot put with a mark of 11.68 meters (38-4)
- Freshman Becca Caird finished fifth in the javelin throw Friday with a distance of 32.42 meters (106-4) while senior Abby McClaskey placed sixth at 31.66 meters (103-10)
- Shafnisky finished sixth in the 100-meter hurdles in 15.83 seconds
- Sophomore Alexis Hockenberry was sixth in the 3,000-meter steeplechase with a time of 12:03.87
- Freshman Jessica Heydt took ninth in the hammer throw on Friday at 44.87 meters (147-2) while senior Liz Miskovsky was tenth at 44.42 meters (145-9)
