Zien Honored as Landmark Player of the Week

TOWSON, Md. --- Senior Katie Zien from the Moravian College women's tennis team has been honored as the first Landmark Conference Women's Tennis Player of the Week for 2013 after her performance last week.

Zien helped the Greyhounds start the fall portion of their season with a pair of 8-1 victories over Rutgers-Camden and Misericordia University in the Moravian Team Tournament. Zien posted eight-game pro-set victories at second singles in each match, and her second victory, an 8-1 triumph over Cassie Foy of Misericordia, gave her 30 career singles wins.

Zien also teamed with freshman Brittney Eady for wins at second doubles.

Moravian is not scheduled to return to action until Thursday, September 12 when the squad heads to Albright College for a non-conference match starting at 4:00 p.m.
