READING, Pa. --- The Moravian College women's tennis team improved to 4-0 on the season with a 7-2 non-conference victory at Albright College Wednesday.

The Greyhounds led 2-1 after the doubles action with senior Katie Zien and freshman Brittney Eady earning an 8-2 win at second doubles. Sophomores Celia Hernandez and Courtnie Lambert won by an 8-6 score at third doubles.

Moravian won five of the six singles matches on the afternoon in straight sets. Zien won at second singles and was followed by Eady at third singles. Senior Erica Venuti was triumphant at fourth singles while Lambert earned a win at sixth singles. Freshman Selina Ocasio had a win at sixth singles for the Greyhounds.

The match had been originially scheduled to be played last Thursday, September 12 but was postponed due to heavy rain last week.

Moravian is scheduled to return to action this weekend, Saturday and Sunday, September 21 and 22 at the Intercollegiate Tennis Association Southeast Regional hosted by the University of Mary Washington in Fredericksburg, Virginia. Four Greyhounds – Zien, Venuti, Eady and senior Melissa Follett – are entered into the tournament.
