Hounds Open Spring with Setback to Tennessee Wesleyan

TAMPA, Fla. --- The Moravian College women's tennis team opened the spring portion of its 2013-14 season with an 8-1 loss to Tennessee Wesleyan College at Hillsborough Community College on the opening day of the Spring Break Tennis Tampa trip Monday.

The Greyhounds, who suffered their first loss of the season after a 7-0 fall season, earned a point in doubles action with senior Katie Zien and freshman Brittney Eady posting an 8-1 win at second doubles.

The Bulldogs, a regionally-ranked NAIA squad, swept the singles action. Zien forced a tiebreaker in the first set of her third singles match.

Moravian will get right back on the court on Tuesday, March 4 with a match versus Ohio Northern University being played at the University of Tampa at 8:00 a.m.
