Micah Leonard Named Landmark  Field Athlete of the Week

TOWSON, Md. --- Senior Micah Leonard of the Moravian College women's track & field team was named the Landmark Conference Field Athlete of the Week. This is Leonard's fifth time earning Landmark Field Athlete of the Week this winter.

Leonard helped the Greyhounds win their sixth straight Landmark Conference Indoor Track & Field Championship over the weekend. She was named Field Athlete of the Year for a third straight year after capturing the triple jump title for the fourth consecutive year at a meet record and ECAC qualifying mark of 11.66 meters (38 feet, 3 ¼ inches). She also won the long jump for the third straight year at an ECAC qualifying leap of 5.47 meters (17 feet, 11 ¾ inches). Leonard was the runner-up in the high jump, clearing 1.47 meters (4 feet, 9 ¾ inches).

Moravian is scheduled to return to action on Friday, March 1st and Saturday, March 2nd at the 2013 ECAC Division III Championships at the New York City Armory with the final opportunity to qualify for the NCAA Division III National Championships in two weeks.
