BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- Sophomore Jenny Kratch placed eighth in the hammer throw to lead the Moravian College women's track & field team on the opening day of the Greyhound Invitational at Timothy Breidegam Track & Rocco Calvo Field Friday.
Kratch had a career-long throw of 40.34 meters (132 feet, four inches) on her opening toss of the meet. Freshman Tyler Clore had a throw of 26.32 meters (86 feet, four inches) in the hammer.
In the other field event Friday, freshman Karlee Corvasce led the Greyhounds in the javelin with a toss of 33.34 meters (109 feet, four inches). Sophomore Allissa Hoffman posted a distance of 31.35 meters (102 feet, ten inches) while Kratch had a top throw of 28.86 meters (94 feet, eight inches) and Clore had a mark of 26.55 meters (87 feet, one inch).
The second day of the Greyhound Invitational will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 20th.
