Kester Leads Greyhounds at Swarthmore Final Qualifying Meet

CHESTER, Pa. --- Sophomore Hailey Kester was the runner-up in the pole vault to lead the Moravian College women's track & field team at the non-scoring Swarthmore College Final Qualifying Meet Monday evening at Leslie C. Quirk Stadium on the campus of Widener University.

Kester had an ECAC qualifying height of 3.55 meters (11 feet, 7 3/4 inches) while sophomore Dana Fineman was sixth in the pole vault at an ECAC qualifying mark of 3.25 meters (ten feet, eight inches).

On the track, sophomore Devon Bedell was eighth in the 3,000-meter steeplechase in a time of 12:40.72 while sophomore Jessie Goldberg placed 23rd in the 5,000-meter run in 19:31.06.

Moravian is scheduled to return to action on Thursday and Friday, May 16th and 17th at the 2013 ECAC Division III Championships being hosted by Springfield (Mass.) College.
