Senior Gregg Steinman Named ECAC DIII South Hitter of the Week

CENTREVILLE, Mass. – Senior third baseman Gregg Steinman of the Moravian College baseball team was named the ECAC Division III South Hitter of the Week announced March 20th. Steinman was also named Landmark Conference Baseball Player of the Week this week.

Steinman helped the Greyhounds to a 4-1 record last week, including a three-game sweep of conference rival Catholic. He batted .765 (13-for-17) for the week with a pair of doubles, five runs scored and eight RBIs. He batted 1.000 twice as he went 3-for-3 against Muhlenberg and 4-for-4 versus Catholic on Saturday. Overall, Steinman went 9-for-11 with five RBIs and five runs scored in the series versus Catholic.

On the season, Steinman is batting a team-high .442 (23-for-52) to go with his 14 RBIs, nine runs scored, two doubles and a home run.

Moravian returns to action on Saturday, March 24th as they travel to Landmark Conference foe Juniata College for a doubleheader. First pitch is set for 1 p.m.
