MADISON, N.J. – Freshman pitcher Chris Lansberry of the Moravian College baseball team was named Landmark Conference Baseball Pitcher of the Week.
Lansberry picked up two wins for the Greyhounds this past week. He helped Moravian avoid a sweep in a Landmark series with USMMA, going nine innings and allowing only two runs, one earned in a 6-2 win. He claimed the complete game, striking out five and walking one. He also tossed a perfect inning in a victory over Elizabethtown. For the week, Lansberry threw ten innings with a 0.90 ERA while batting 5-for-7 at the plate with two RBIs and one stolen base.
On the season, Lansberry is 5-1 with a 2.86 ERA in 28.1 innings pitched. He is batting .293 (12-for-41) with eight RBIs, seven runs scored, two stolen bases, a triple and a double.
Moravian returns to action on Tuesday, April 10th as they host non-conference opponent Albright College. First pitch is set for 4 p.m.
