CENTER VALLEY, Pa. --- The Moravian University men's basketball team dropped a 96-52 decision at DeSales University in non-conference action Tuesday evening in the annual pre-Thanksgiving match-up between the squads.

How It Happened

• The Bulldogs had the opening basket before freshman forward Marquis Ratcliff hit a lay-up for the Hounds. Graduate student guard Danny Cooper knotted the score at 4-4. Freshman guard Porter Kelly connected on a free throw with 13:55 left in the first half to pull the Greyhounds within two points at 9-7; however, DeSales started to pull away at that point, taking a 21-9 edge with 9:41 left in the first half. The Bulldogs stretched the lead to 42-19 at the intermission
• In the second half, DeSales had pushed the advantage to 44 points, 72-28, midway through the half. Moravian was able to take 12 points off the deficit before the Bulldogs pulled away again 

Inside the Numbers

• Cooper and Ratcliff each netted nine points to lead the Greyhounds with Cooper adding seven rebounds and two assists while Ratcliff had five boards
• Senior guard Nate Dougherty tossed in seven points while junior guard Mark Howell and sophomore guard/forward Antonio Montgomery both had six points and two assists with Montgomery adding a pair of rebounds
• Kelly finished with five points while junior forward Mike DiPietro and freshman forward Uma Kula each had four points with Kula recording two rebounds and two steals. Junior guard Alex Dietz added two points while sophomore forward Nate Santiago pulled down a team-high eight rebounds and sophomore forward Michael Leonardo had four boards and a pair of assists
• Moravian was 21-for-65 from the floor, just 2-for-26 beyond the three-point line and 8-for-12 at the foul line in the contest
