TOWSON, Md. --- Moravian University freshman forward Marquis Ratcliff has been selected as the 2023 Landmark Men's Basketball Rookie of the Year and the All-Conference Second Team for this performance this winter.

Ratcliff, who was also selected to the Lehigh Valley Small College Basketball Organization 2022-23 Team of the Year, averaged 17.5 points and 8.6 rebounds per contest this winter in his collegiate debut, and he also contributed 51 blocked shots, tied for the third most in a single season in school history, 26 assists, 23 steals and 12 three-pointers. Ratcliff had eight double-doubles on the season, and he shot 57.7 percent (172-of-298) from the field, the sixth-best season in program history. Ratcliff is the second Greyhound to earn Landmark Conference Rookie of the Year honors, joining O'Neil Holder, who won the honor in 2015.

"We are really excited about the year Marquis put together," commented first-year Head Coach Darryl Keckler. "It is great to see him get rewarded by the other coaches in the league. To be voted as 2nd Team All-Conference and the Rookie of the Year in the Landmark Conference is a great accomplishment. There are a lot of really good players in our league, and we are very proud of the recognition Marquis earned."

Moravian finished the season with an 8-17 overall record, and the squad was 5-9 in Landmark Conference action.
