Dougherty Selected to College Sports Communicators Men’s Basketball Academic All-District

BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- Moravian University senior guard Nate Dougherty has been selected to the 2023 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Men's Basketball Team for NCAA Division III schools.

To be eligible for CSC Academic All-America® honors, a student-athlete must maintain at least a 3.50 grade-point average, be a sophomore, junior or senior and be a starter or significant reserve. Moravian has had 56 Greyhounds named CSC Academic All-Americans®.

By making the All-District Team, Dougherty is now forwarded onto the national ballot to try for CSC Academic All-America® accolades, which will be announced Wednesday, March 15.

Dougherty, a sports management major and economics minor with a 3.60 grade-point average, saw action in 20 games with one start this winter, and he contributed 44 points, 26 rebounds, 17 assists, seven three-pointers and six steals this year. In 76 career contests with 33 starts, Dougherty had 447 points, 164 rebounds, 89 assists, 60 three-pointers, 36 steals and 10 blocked shots. He's been a member of the Moravian Dean's Honors List five times and will be a three-time member of the Landmark Conference Spring Academic Honor Roll.
