Cooper Honored as Landmark Conference Men’s Basketball Athlete of the Week

TOWSON, Md. --- Moravian University graduate student guard Danny Cooper has been honored as this week's Landmark Conference Men's Basketball Athlete of the Week for his performance last week.

Cooper averaged 15.0 points per game during the 42nd Steel Club Classic while being named to the All-Tournament Team. He was 11-for-20 and 8-for-14 on three-pointers while playing 60 minutes. Cooper had 14 points, seven assists and four rebounds in an 81-78 win over Bryn Athyn College in the first round. Cooper then had 16 points, five rebounds and three assists in a 71-50 loss to York (Pa.) College in the championship game.

"Danny played great over the weekend, scoring and making his teammates better," commented Head Coach Darryl Keckler. "He continues to progress in our system, and we are looking forward to seeing his progression continue as we head into Landmark Conference play."

Moravian is slated to return to action on Saturday, January 7 in a Landmark Conference game at Elizabethtown College tipping off at 4:00 p.m.
