Men's Tennis Competes at Mule Fall Classic

ALLENTOWN, Pa. --- The Moravian College men's tennis team competed in the Muhlenberg College Fall Classic Sunday, a round-robin of singles and doubles contests.

The tournament included four singles flights and a pair of doubles flights. Senior Matt Tuorto was 1-1 in the Group A singles with an 8-6 win over David Woods of Muhlenberg, and he combined with senior John Wylie for a pair of doubles wins in Group E as the duo defeated a team from SUNY Oneonta, 8-2, and a squad from Muhlenberg, 8-5.

Junior Michael Antonis was 2-0 in the Group B singles with an 8-2 victory versus Derrick Eng of Muhlenberg and an 8-4 triumph over Matthew Richards from SUNY Oneonta. Senior C.J. Widdifield was 1-1 in Group C singles with an 8-5 win over Jordan Greene from Muhlenberg while freshman Isaac Schefer was 1-1 in his first collegiate action in the Group D singles flight with an 8-1 win over Jon Yandle of Muhlenberg.

The Greyhounds will complete their 2015 fall season on Saturday and Sunday, October 3-4 when the squad heads to the University of Mary Washington in Fredericksburg, Virginia for the 2015 Intercollegiate Tennis Association Southeast Tournament.
