Tuorto Honored as Landmark Conference Men's Tennis Athlete of the Week

TOWSON, Md. --- Moravian College senior Matt Tuorto has been honored as the Landmark Conference Men's Tennis Athlete of the Week for his performance last week.

Tuorto had a perfect combined record of 6-0 in singles and doubles action as the Greyhounds finished the week at 2-1 during the squad's Spring Break trip to Orlando, Florida. Tuorto won all three of his first singles matches, and he teamed up with senior John Wylie to win all three of their first doubles contests. The duo is now 47-29 in doubles action in their career, and they broke the previous school record of 45 career doubles wins with an 8-5 victory in the Hounds' 6-3 loss to Clark (Mass.) University. Tuorto is now 6-2 in singles action this season and 37-38 in his career, and he has combined with Wylie for a 9-0 doubles record this year.

Moravian, which is 5-2 overall, is slated to return to action on Friday, March 25 in the Greyhounds' 2016 Landmark Conference opener at Juniata College starting at 1:00 p.m.
