Greyhounds Win Versus Regis College

ORLANDO, Fla. --- The Moravian College men's tennis defeated Regis (Mass.) College by a final of 6-3 Monday morning on the team's spring break trip.

The Greyhounds would find themselves leading Regis 2-1 after doubles play finished. Leading the Greyhounds was doubles pair seniors Matt Tuorto and John Wylie, who won 8-3 at first doubles. With that win both Tuorto and Wylie tie the school record for most career doubles wins with 45. Claiming the second victory for the Blue and Grey was the pair of freshman Peter Demyan and sophomore David Wilson, who took their match by a final of 8-2 at third doubles.

In singles both Tuorto in first singles and Wylie in second singles won their matches in straight sets. Tuorto won by a final of 6-1, 6-0 while Wylie won 6-3, 6-2 for the match clinching point. Also taking singles victories were Wilson at fifth singles and Demyan at sixth. Wilson was victorious in his match by a score of 6-2, 6-3 while Demyan swept his opponent 6-2, 6-0.

The Greyhounds will take on Clark (Mass.) University on Tuesday, March 8 at Lake Cane Tennis Center in a non-conference match beginning 12:30 p.m.
