Seven Greyhounds Selected to Landmark Conference Women's Indoor Track & Field All-Decade Team

TOWSON, Md. --- The 2016-17 season marks the 10th year anniversary for the Landmark Conference. To help celebrate, the Landmark is featuring individuals that have stood out over the past 10 years.

Athletes that were named All-Conference First Team a minimum of two times, and/or were named Landmark Player of the Year, during their career were nominated automatically, and each team had the opportunity to nominate additional individuals for consideration. The All-Decade team was selected by the membership and is being announced prior to the conference championship.

Rachel Beck from the class of 2010, Corinne Glass from the class of 2016, Anna Heim from the class of 2010, Micah Leonard from the class of 2013, Jessica Posimo from the class of 2010, Symonne Scott from the class of 2010 and Sydni Wisniewski were selected to the Women's Indoor Track & Field All-Decade Team with Moravian having won the first nine Landmark Conference titles heading into the 2017 meet on February 25.

Beck was an eight-time All-Conference First Team selection for the Greyhounds. She won the 55-meter dash and the 4x200m relay from 2008-2010, the 4x400m relay in 2008, and the 200-meter dash in 2010. She was named the Track Athlete of the Year in 2010. Beck was also named to the Landmark Academic Teams from 2008-2010.

Glass was a seven-time First Team All-Landmark selection from 2013-2016. She won the 200-meter dash in 2013 and 2016, the 400-meter dash in 2016, and was a member of the 4x400m relay team that won in 2013, 2015, and 2016. Glass was named the Track Athlete of the Year in 2016.

Heim was a four-time All-Landmark First Team selection for Moravian. She won the pole vault from 2008-2010, with her mark of 4.10m set in 2010 currently being a conference record, the same year she captured the NCAA Division III National Championship in the event. Heim was a three-time All-American in the pole vault. She helped the 4x400m relay team to a first place finish in 2010. Heim was named the Field Athlete of the Year in 2010.

Leonard was a four-time champion in the triple jump (2010-2013) and a three-time champion in the long jump (2011-2013). Leonard currently holds to conference championship records in the triple jump (11.66m - 2013) and the long jump (5.58m - 2011). She was named the Field Athlete of the Year three years in a row from 2011-2013.

Posimo was a ten-time All-Conference First Team selection for the Greyhounds, including a three-time champion in the 55-meter hurdles. Posimo earned Field Athlete of the Year in 2009, was named to the All-Academic Teams from 2008-2010 and the Landmark Senior Scholar Athlete in 2010.

Scott was a three-time champion in the 4x200m relay and the long jump champion in 2010, and she earned Second Team honors in the 55-meter dash and long jump in 2009. She was also an All-American indoors twice in the long jump in 2009 and 2010.

Wisniewski was an eight-time All-Conference First Team selection for the Greyhounds. She won the 200m/400m/4x200m relay in 2008 and 2009 and was member of the 4x400m and 4x800m relay teams that won in 2008 and 2009 respectively. Wisniewski holds two conference championship records in the 200-meter dash (26.38 - 2008) and the 400-meter dash (58.76 - 2009).

"As a program we've been blessed to work with some great people and incredible athletes," commented Head Coach Jesse Baumann, who is in his sixth season leading the program and has won all ten indoor conference championships he has coached in with the men and women. "These seven certainly are among some of the most notable athletes that have been pillars of our program and its success over the years as five of them earned All American awards and all seven represented Moravian at the NCAA Championships. They hold numerous school records and Anna is still on the Division III NCAA All Time list for the pole vault so obviously they were incredible athletes. However, we've been fortunate to have a lot of depth over the years as well. There are numerous other conference champions, school record holders, and even All Americans who weren't on this list, so again, we've been very lucky to have some incredible talent to work with over the years and hope to keep that tradition going."
