Danoski Named Landmark Conference Women's Track Athlete of the Week

TOWSON, Md. --- Moravian College freshman Carly Danoski has been named the Landmark Conference Women's Track Athlete of the Week for her performance this past Saturday.

Danoski won the 800-meter run at the non-scoring Greyhound Invitational hosted by Moravian. She had a winning time of 2:19.07 that qualified her for the 2017 ECAC Division III Championships and is the fourth best time in the Landmark Conference this spring.

"Carly had some good practice for tactical racing on Saturday," noted Head Coach Jesse Baumann. "The race went out much slower than we'd like at almost 70 seconds but she took command of the field and had her typical strong kick to win the heat and negative split. She knows she can run much faster, we just have to get her in the right race, but again, we were encouraged by her ability to run well when the race wasn't set up ideally."

Moravian is slated to return to action on Saturday, April 22 at the Misericordia University Invitational beginning at 10:00 a.m.
