TOWSON, Md. --- Moravian University junior Julianne Cassady has been selected as the Landmark Conference Women's Tennis Athlete of the Week for her performance last week.

Cassady helped Moravian to its seventh straight win as the squad defeated Penn State-Abington, 6-0, in a match played indoors in Timothy Breidegam Fieldhouse and to decision. Cassady joined with senior Morgan Colver for a win at first doubles before capturing a straight sets victory at first singles.

"Jules had a great week winning both of her doubles and singles matches," noted Director of Tennis Mariana Freitas. "She's playing at a higher position this year compared to her freshman and sophomore years. She is working very hard to step up her game and she has played exceptional tennis so far this season."

The Hounds, who are 7-1 on the season, are slated to begin the 2022 Landmark Conference season on Saturday, March 26 when The University of Scranton comes to Hoffman Courts for a 1:00 p.m. match.
