Moravian Women to Begin 2021-22 Basketball Campaign on November 10 Versus Dickinson

BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian University women's basketball is set to begin the 2021-22 season on Wednesday, November 10 with a non-conference contest versus Dickinson College at 7:00 p.m. in Johnston Hall.

The Greyhounds, under the direction of 35th-year Head Coach Mary Beth Spirk, will have just one more home game before the calendar rolls to 2022 while playing eight games on the road. The Blue and Grey head to Boston, Massachusetts on November 13-14 for the Emmanuel (Mass.) College Tip-Off Tournament and will face Russell Sage (N.Y.) College in the opening round. The Hounds return South to play at The College of New Jersey on Saturday, November 20 before hosting DeSales University on Tuesday, November 23 in Moravian's Toys for Tots Drive contest.

Moravian heads back out on the road for five more contests starting with a trip to Immaculata University on Tuesday, November 30. The Blue and Grey will open the 2021-22 Landmark Conference season at Juniata College on December 4 and then play at rival Muhlenberg College on December 8. After a 10-day break for finals, the Greyhounds will head to Albright College on December 18 before finishing 2021 with a non-conference game versus King's College at Martz Hall in Pottsville on December 28.

The Hounds begin the new year by hosting the annual Steel Club Classic in Johnston Hall on January 2-3 with Moravian taking on Widener University in the opening round with Goucher College and the University of Mary Washington (Va.) also participating in the tournament. The Greyhounds then have 13 Landmark Conference contests to finish the regular season starting with Goucher making a return to Johnston Hall on January 8 for the team's Take a Kid to the Game contest.

Moravian will travel to Drew University on January 12 and Elizabethtown College on January 15 before coming home for another three games with The University of Scranton coming to Johnston Hall on January 19 followed by The Catholic University of America on January 22 and Susquehanna University on January 26. The month of January ends with a trip to Goucher on January 29.

The Greyhounds also start February on the road at Scranton on February 2 before the squad hosts Elizabethtown on February 5. Moravian travels to Susquehanna on February 9 and Catholic on February 12 for the final road trips of the year, and the Blue and Grey finish up in Johnston Hall with Drew on February 16 and Juniata on February 19, which will also be the annual Play4Kay game, Senior Day and the Alumni game.

Moravian looks to qualify for the 2022 Landmark Conference Tournament that starts with the semifinals on Wednesday, February 23 and the final slated for Saturday, February 26 at the highest remaining seeds' home court.
