TOWSON, Md. --- Moravian College senior first baseman Brett Moyer has been selected as the Landmark Conference Baseball Athlete of the Week for his performance last week.

Moyer, who earned his second Landmark Conference Weekly Honor of the season, hit .444 last week in a 3-2 week for the Greyhounds that saw Moravian win three of four games in a Landmark Conference series with Susquehanna University. Moyer was 8-for-18 during the week with four runs, three doubles, a homer and seven RBIs. He also had three walks for a .524 on-base percentage. In the field, Moyer had 32 putouts in 32 chances and was part of four double plays. His solo home run on Saturday in the second game with Susquehanna started the scoring that has resulted in a three-game winning streak.

"Brett had a very solid week of baseball," noted Head Coach Paul Engelhardt. "His results don't match how he led his team all week. I know he's happier that his play helped his team win. I look forward to seeing him progress through our stretch run. Brett was very deserving of this award, and know he appreciates it."

The Greyhounds, who are 8-10 overall and 8-6 in Landmark Conference action, are scheduled to return to action on Friday, April 30 in a Landmark Conference doubleheader with Drew University beginning at 12:30 p.m. in Madison, New Jersey.
