TOWSON, Md. --- Moravian University senior forward Ava Edwards has been honored as the Landmark Conference Field Hockey Offensive Athlete of the Week for her performance last week.

Edwards helped the Greyhounds to a 2-0 record in non-conference action over the past seven days. She had just one shot in Moravian's 2-1 win versus Immaculata University before setting school records with five goals and 12 points in a 10-0 victory at Neumann University. Edwards scored the game's opening goal and would add two assists as she netted her second hat trick in three games and now has eight goals on the year.

"Ava has put in a lot of work over the past year to improve her goal scoring," stated Head Coach Sarah Dalrymple. "She's threatening in all areas of the circle. Ava has had an excellent start to the season with a hat trick last weekend, and now setting a new school record with five goals in a single game this week. We're excited to see where this season takes her."

The Greyhounds, who are 3-1 this fall, are scheduled to return to action on Tuesday, September 14 in a non-conference contest versus Alvernia University beginning at 7:00 p.m. on John Makuvek Field.
