TOWSON, Md. --- Moravian University freshman forward Sydney Anderson has been named the Landmark Conference Field Hockey Offensive Athlete of the Week for her performance last week.
Anderson helped Moravian to a 2-0 record last week including the Greyhounds' first Landmark Conference win of the year. Anderson netted four goals during the week to go with one assist and two game-winning goals. She had both goals in a 2-1 non-conference victory at King's College. Anderson then had two goals and an assist in a 6-0 win at Goucher College.
"Sydney has progressed extremely well since she's arrived at Moravian," stated Head Coach Sarah Dalrymple. "She's a constant worker both on and off of the ball. It's rewarding to see her hard work paying off."
The Greyhounds, who are 7-2 for the first time since 2004, are scheduled to return to action on Tuesday, October 5 when the squad hosts Delaware Valley University in a non-conference match beginning at 7:00 p.m. on John Makuvek Field.
