TOWSON, Md. --- Moravian University junior goalkeeper Brooke Wilkinson has been selected as the Landmark Conference Field Hockey Defensive Athlete of the Week for her performance last week.

Wilkinson posted a pair of wins as the Greyhounds extended their winning streak to seven games and clinched the first Landmark Conference Tournament appearance in program history. Wilkinson had four saves, a shutout and a 0.50 goals-against average during the week. She made four saves in Moravian's 5-1 win over Elizabethtown College. She did not face a shot in the Greyhounds' 2-0 win at Juniata College that gave the Blue and Grey their first postseason appearance since 1987. The shutout was Wilkinson's fifth of the season. The victory at Juniata was also Wilkinson's and the team's 11th win of the year, both setting school records.

"Brooke has been incredibly steady in goal for us throughout the season," commented Head Coach Sarah Dalrymple. "When you have trust in your goalkeeper, it makes high pressure situations in our defensive 25 much simpler to play. We have been extremely pleased with her play and consistency this past week and throughout the season.

Moravian, which is 11-2 overall and 4-1 in Landmark Conference action, is scheduled to return to action on Saturday, October 23 when the squad welcomes The University of Scranton for a conference contest beginning at 1:00 p.m. on John Makuvek Field on Senior Day.
