BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian University men's tennis team improved to 4-0 on the season with a 7-2 non-conference victory over visiting FDU-Florham at Hoffman Courts Thursday afternoon.
How It Happened
- The Greyhounds took a 1-0 lead with an 8-1 win by senior Kieran Pisani and freshman Matthew Labosky at third doubles. The Devils earned the victory at first doubles to even the score; however, it was the Blue and Grey that had a 2-1 lead after doubles action as sophomores Wyatt Marshall and Ronny Pimentel Ferrer rallied from a 7-2 deficit to post an 8-7 (7-2) triumph at second doubles.
- Senior Andrew Hozza was the first to come off the courts in singles action, and he pushed the Moravian edge to 3-1 with a 6-2, 6-0 victory at sixth singles. Farhard extended he advantage to 4-1 with a 6-1, 6-2 triumph at first singles while Marshall scored the winning team point with a 6-0, 6-3 win at fourth singles. Sophomore Anthony Ronca stretched the lead to 6-1 with a 6-3, 6-2 victory at second singles. The Devils picked up a win at third singles while Pimentel Ferrer finished off the contest when he posted a 6-2, 4-6, 10-5 victory at fifth singles
