Hounds Fall to Goucher on Senior Day

BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian University men's tennis team fell to visiting Goucher College, 6-3, on Senior Day at Hoffman Courts Sunday in Landmark Conference action.

How It Happened

  • The Gophers captured two of the three doubles contests to take a 2-1 lead. The Hounds earned a point at third doubles with an 8-5 victory from the tandem of senior Kieran Pisani and freshman Matthew Labosky. The duo of sophomore Anthony Ronca and freshman Shayaan Farhad fell in a tiebreaker at first doubles
  • Moravian picked up two wins in singles action. Farhad posted a 6-4, 6-2 triumph at first singles to knot the score at 2-2. Goucher won the next three contests before senior Andrew Hozza recorded a 6-1, 6-4 win at sixth singles. Ronca and sophomore Wyatt Marshall both fell in three-set contests in singles
  • Prior to the match, the Greyhounds honored its senior class of Hozza, Pisani, Aidan Evans-Gartley and Justin Szaro
