TOWSON, Md. --- The third seeded Moravian University men's tennis team fell to second seed and host Goucher College, 5-1, in the 2023 Landmark Conference Semifinals Tuesday afternoon.

How It Happened

  • The Gophers won the first two doubles matches to be completed at second and first doubles before the Greyhound duo of senior Kieran Pisani and freshman Matthew Labosky recorded an 8-7 (7-4) victory at third doubles to set the score at 2-1 for Goucher after the doubles contests
  • In the postseason, matches are only played until a team earns five wins to clinch the overall victory. The Gophers would do that with victories at fourth singles, second singles and then sixth singles. The remaining contests are left as unfinished
  • Moravian completed season with 16 victories, setting a new program record with three more wins that the previous mark
  • The Greyhounds were making their appearance in the Landmark Conference Semifinals since 2015
