Greyhounds Begin Spring Break Trip to Florida with Win over Adrian

ORLANDO, Fla. --- The Moravian University men's tennis squad opened an early 3-0 lead and posted a 7-2 non-conference victory over Adrian (Mich.) College on the first day of the Greyhounds' Spring Break trip Sunday to the United States Tennis Association National Training Center in Orlando, Florida.

How It Happened

  • The Hounds swept the doubles action to take a 3-0 lead. The tandem of sophomore Zachary Lebby and freshman Shayaan Farhad started the evening with an 8-5 victory at first doubles. Sophomores Wyatt Marshall and Ronny Pimentel Ferrer made it 2-0 with an 8-4 triumph at second doubles while the duo of senior Kieran Pisani and freshman Matthew Labosky earned an 8-5 win at third doubles
  • Moravian captured four of the six singles matches to improve to 8-0 on the year, the best start in program history. Lebby won his third singles match, 6-1, 6-1, to make it a 4-0 lead while Marshall captured the winning team point with a 6-2, 6-0 victory at second singles. Labosky pushed the advantage to 6-0 after a 6-2, 6-3 triumph at sixth singles before the Bulldogs won two contests. Pimentel Ferrer finished off the evening with a 7-5, 6-3 victory at fourth singles
