Taggert & Walker Post Top 5 Finishes at Princeton Invitational

PRINCETON, N.J. --- The Moravian College men's track & field team had a pair of competitors at the non-scoring Princeton University Invitational Sunday.

Junior Cory Taggert had the best individual finish, placing second in the 800-meter run in an ECAC qualifying time of 1:54.73. The mark was a personal best for Taggert and also the fifth best time in school history. Taggert's time is ranked 24th on the Track & Field Results Reporting System for NCAA Division III, and the top 15 males in each event will compete at the NCAA Division III National Championships in March.

Junior Kahron Walker finished third in the high jump, clearing 1.91 meters (6-3.25), and Walker placed fifth in the long jump with an ECAC qualifying mark of 6.67 meters (21-10.75).

The Greyhounds are scheduled to return to action on Saturday, February 27 when the teams head to Susquehanna University in Selinsgrove for the 2016 Landmark Conference Indoor Championships. The Hounds are looking to win the championship for the seventh straight year and eighth time in the nine-year history of the conference.
