BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian College women's soccer squad is slated to play ten matches under the lights during the 2019 season beginning with the season opener versus Vassar (N.Y.) College on Friday, August 30 with a 7:00 p.m. start time on John Makuvek Field.
The Hounds will play six of eight matches at home during the month of September beginning on Wednesday, September 4 when Stockton (N.J.) University comes to Bethlehem for an evening match. The Blue and Grey head to The College of New Jersey for their first road contest of the season on Saturday, September 7 before returning home for four straight non-conference matches. The home stretch includes rival Muhlenberg College on Wednesday, September 11, Rutgers-Camden on Saturday, September 14, Albright College on Wednesday, September 18 and Misericordia University on Saturday, September 21. The Rutgers-Camden contest is the only one not slated for a 7:00 p.m. start as it is the middle match of a tripleheader on John Makuvek Field for Family Day and will begin at 4:00 p.m. The Greyhounds will make a trip to Stevenson (Md.) University on Wednesday, September 25 before opening the 2019 Landmark Conference season on Saturday, September 28 versus Juniata College.
October will be the opposite for Moravian with five of seven contests on the road beginning with a trip to Marywood University on Wednesday, October 2. The Hounds will then play five straight Landmark Conference matches with trips to Susquehanna University on Saturday, October 5, The University of Scranton on Saturday, October 12, Elizabethtown College on Wednesday, October 16 and The Catholic University of America on Saturday, October 26 while the Greyhounds host Drew University on Saturday, October 19 at 7:00 p.m. as the final contest on Homecoming.
The Blue and Grey will finish October at home with a non-conference contest versus Hartwick (N.Y.) College on Wednesday, October 30 before the final Landmark Conference match of the regular season versus Goucher College on Saturday, November 2.
The Greyhounds aim to qualify for the Landmark Conference Championships which begins with the semifinals on Wednesday, November 6 with the finals on Saturday, November 9 at the highest remaining seed.
