Weiss Honored on Landmark Women's Soccer All-Conference First Team

Paige Weiss honored on Landmark Women's Soccer All-Conference First Team

TOWSON, Md. --- Moravian College senior defender Paige Weiss has been honored to the 2019 Landmark Women's Soccer All-Conference First Team for her performance this season.

Weiss, who was the 2016 Landmark Conference Rookie of the Year and has been on the All-Conference Second Team the last two seasons, led the Greyhounds in scoring this fall with six goals including four game-winning goals. Weiss finished her career with 12 goals in 64 career matches including 63 starts, and she had five game-winning goals. Defensively, Weiss helped Moravian post 27 shutouts over the last four falls.

"Paige was everything to our team this season," commented Head Coach Jeff Ykoruk. "Starting with the offseason, where she led by example and pushed each player to maximize in the weight room. That hard work translated onto the field and she was our anchor in the back. Paige has been a part of the three top defensive seasons in program history and played a major role in setting the program and conference record in 2017 with us only allowing six goals the entire season. Her leadership and personality will really be missed. I'm very happy that she was named First Team All-Conference and it's a great way to end her very successful career.
