Moravian Drops Landmark Conference Match at Scranton

SCRANTON, Pa. --- The Moravian College women's soccer team dropped a 3-0 match at The University of Scranton in Landmark Conference action Saturday.

The Royals jumped out to a quick 2-0 lead with goals in the third and fifth minutes of action, and the score remained that way until Scranton scored again in the 81st minute. The Greyhounds had a pair of shots on goal with junior Sara Cassel putting a shot on the keeper in the third minute, just before Scranton opened the scoring, and sophomore midfielder Alexa Brown had a shot on goal two minutes into the second half.

Junior goalie Jamie Daly recorded three saves while playing the first half of the match for Moravian while junior keeper Siobhan O'Sullivan-Evangelista had three stops in the second half.

The Hounds are scheduled to return to the pitch on Wednesday, October 16 in a Landmark Conference match at Elizabethtown College beginning at 7:00 p.m.
