BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- Senior defender Paige Weiss headed in a pair of second half goals to lead the Moravian College women's soccer team to a 3-0 victory over visiting Juniata College Saturday afternoon on John Makuvek Field to begin the 2019 Landmark Conference season.

The Greyhounds, now 6-3 overall, and the Eagles played a scoreless first half and the teams were still at 0-0 until Weiss headed in a corner kick by sophomore forward Megan Chesney in the 58th minute. The duo would connect again ten minutes later on another corner kick as Weiss notched her fifth goal of the season, all headers off of set pieces. Junior midfielder Cat Cole finished of the scoring with her first goal of the season as she put in a rebound off of a shot by junior midfielder Skylar Vaughan in the 86th minute.

Senior goalie Jamie Daly made one save while playing the first half of the match for the Blue and Grey while senior Siobhan O'Sullivan-Evangelista did not face a shot on goal in the second half.

"Although we found a way to win, overall it was pretty disappointing game," noted Head Coach Jeff Ykoruk. "We lacked urgency and we need to approach conference games with a better mindset. Paige and Sara Cassel did a solid job and was happy to see Paige score again. We are also happy to see Cat Cole finish her opportunity."

The Greyhounds are scheduled to return to action on Wednesday, October 2 in a non-conference game at Marywood University starting at 7:00 p.m.
