BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian College women's soccer team is set to start its 2018 season on Friday, August 30 when the squad hosts Vassar (N.Y.) College under the lights of John Makuvek Field with a 7:00 p.m. start time.

Sixth-year Head Coach Jeff Ykoruk has 19 letterwinners back from last year's 9-5-2 squad that reached the Landmark Conference Semifinals for the third time in five years under Ykoruk's tutelage.

Leading the group of returnees is senior defender Paige Weiss, who made the Landmark All-Conference Second Team last fall and was the 2016 Landmark Conference Rookie of the Year. Junior defender Sara Cassel, the 2017 Landmark Conference Co-Rookie of the Year, and the goalie tandem of senior Jamie Daly and junior Siobhan O'Sullivan-Evangelista give Ykoruk a solid back line with plenty of experience.

Coach Ykoruk, Weiss and junior midfielder Ashley Hutchinson give their thoughts on the upcoming 2019 season in a preview video below.
