BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian College women's soccer team earned its second straight 1-0 victory, defeating Rutgers-Camden in non-conference action Saturday afternoon on John Makuvek Field.

"I was very pleased with our overall effort today," stated Head Coach Jeff Ykoruk. "Coming off of an emotional win mid-week and playing against an NJAC playoff team who had a full week rest, we showed well. We handled a gritty team who put numbers behind the ball.  We didn't get frustrated and really came out strong in the second half."

The Greyhounds, now 3-2 on the year, would net the only goal of the afternoon when senior defender Paige Weiss headed in a corner kick from sophomore Megan Chesney in the 61st minute. The goal was the second of the season for Weiss and the eighth of her career which includes three game-winning markers.

"We are all excited for Paige and she gets rewarded for all her hard work with that goal she scored," noted Ykork.

Senior goalie Jamie Daly made the start and had one save in 45 minutes action while junior keeper Siobhan O'Sullivan-Evangelista earned the victory with two saves in 45 minutes.

"Jamie and Siobhan didn't see many shots, but had a few set plays they defended well," commented Ykoruk. "Our back four was tremendous and although we didn't finish some opportunities we know it's just a matter of time until we finish them."

The Hounds will continue their four-match homestand with a non-conference contest versus Albright College on Wednesday, September 18 beginning at 7:00 p.m. on John Makuvek Field.
