Follett, Sonnabend Win Doubles Flight at Goucher Tournament

TOWSON, Md. --- Sophomore Melissa Follett and junior Olivia Sonnabend of the Moravian College women's tennis team won the first double flight on the second day of the Goucher College Tournament Sunday. 

The duo posted a 6-2, 6-2 win over Kelsey Turner and Kristen Cianci of Goucher to win the first doubles flight after winning two matches on Saturday.

In singles action, the Greyhounds had two competitors in the championship matches of their flights. Freshman Brittany Hodge fel to Meaghan Lee from Goucher, 6-3, 6-4 in the finals of the second singles flight while freshman Celia Hernandez lost to Addie Maxwell of Goucher, 6-3, 6-2 in the finals of the fourth singles flight.

Freshman Courtnie Lambert did win the third place match in the third singles flight with a 6-1, 6-0 victory over Kyleen Sisson of Cedar Crest College while junior Erica Venuti fell to Jennifer Kitlan from Messiah College, 6-1, 6-4 in the 5/6 match of the first singles flight.

Moravian will close out the fall portion of its 2012-13 season with a non-conference dual match at Albright College on Wednesday, October 3rd beginning at 3:00 p.m.
