Women's Tennis Starts Spring Season in Virginia on Sunday

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The Moravian College women's tennis team opens up the spring season with three non-conference matches in Virginia. The Greyhounds will take on Virginia Union University on Sunday (3/3), Randolph Macon College on Monday (3/4) and Mary Baldwin College on Tuesday (3/6).

Moravian head coach Dawn Ketterman-Benner led her squad to a 4-0 record in the fall that included a win over NCAA Division II school East Stroudsburg University.

Freshman Brittany Hodge went 6-1 in singles during the fall while classmate Courtnie Lambert went 5-2 in singles and 3-1 in doubles action with Hodge. Sophomore Melissa Follett is 4-3 in singles and 8-2 in doubles action this season while junior Olivia Sonnabend has a 6-1 doubles record to go with her 1-1 singles mark.

Junior Erica Venuti added a 5-5 mark in singles to go with her 5-2 record in doubles action while freshman Celia Hernandez went 2-2 in singles in the fall.
