Women's Tennis Knocks Off Undefeated Susquehanna

SELINSGROVE, Pa. --- The Moravian College women's tennis team defeated previously undefeated Susquehanna University, 5-4, Saturday on the road for the Greyhounds first Landmark Conference win of the season.

The Greyhounds trailed 2-1 after the doubles action with the duo of sophomore Melissa Follett and junior Erica Venuti earning a victory at first doubles.

Moravian would capture four of the six singles matches to earn the win. Follett had a straight sets win at first singles while Venuti won in straight sets at third singles. Freshman Brittany Hodge needed three sets for her win at fourth singles while freshman Courtnie Lambert won in straight sets at fifth singles. Junior Katie Zien force a third set at second singles but came up short in the final set.

The Greyhounds are scheduled to return to action on Wednesday, April 10th when they host the University of Scranton in a Landmark Conference match at Hoffman Courts beginning at 3:30 p.m.
