ALTOONA, Pa. --- The Moravian University women's tennis squad posted a 9-0 win over host Juniata College in Landmark Conference action Saturday with the match played at the Summit Athletic Center in Altoona due to the weather. 

How It Happened

  • The Greyhounds won all three doubles points, starting the match with a 1-0 lead with the Eagles only having four players available. Senior Julianne Cassady and freshman Izzy Szmodis won 8-0 at first doubles while seniors Maddie Figiel and Cristina Merone captured the second doubles match by the same score
  • With the Hounds picking up two more points before singles began, all four singles contests played were just a pro set. Cassady won at first singles, 8-1, while Figiel earned an 8-0 triumph at second singles. Szmodis recorded an 8-0 victory at third singles while Merone finished off the match with an 8-0 win at fourth singles
