BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian University men's indoor track & field team opened its 2021-22 indoor season at the two-day, non-scoring Lehigh University Fast Times Before Finals Invitational hosted by the Mountain Hawks at Rauch Fieldhouse.

Event Winners

• Graduate student Shane Mastro won the shot put with a PR and All-Atlantic Region Track & Field Championship qualifying distance of 15.30 meters (50 feet, 2.5 inches), the eighth best mark in school history 

Top 10 Finishes

• Sophomore Marco Calantoni finished eighth in the finals of the 60-meter dash in 7.38 seconds after a preliminary time of 7.31 seconds
• The Greyhounds 4x400-meter relay squad of graduate student Peter Gingrich, seniors Dominic DeRafelo and Brad Clemson and sophomore Brendon Ward placed second in a time of 3:39.70
• Junior Ethan Cherubin was tenth in the 60-meter hurdle preliminaries with a time of 9.47 seconds
• Senior Max Schuman took sixth in the pole vault, clearing a height of 3.80 meters (12 feet, 5.5 inches)
• Freshman Owen Sabastro placed ninth in the long jump with a leap of 6.17 meters (20 feet, 3 inches), and he also finished ninth in the 60-meter dash preliminaries in 7.33 seconds
• Senior Tim King finished third in the 35-pound weight throw on Friday evening with an AARTF qualifying mark of 15.30 meters (50 feet, 2.5 inches) while junior Dan Jenkins took fifth in the event at 14.86 meters (48 feet, 9 inches)
• King was sixth in the shot put with a PR toss of 13.25 meters (43 feet, 5.75 inches)
