Greyhounds Win One Event in Moravian Indoor Meet

BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian University men's indoor track & field squad posted one event victory in the non-scoring Moravian Indoor Meet hosted by the Greyhounds at Lehigh University's Rauch Fieldhouse Saturday. 

Event Winners

  • Senior Shane Houghton began the meet by winning the 5,000-meter run in a PR time of 15:33.17

Top 10 Finishes

  • Junior Liam Duffy was the runner-up in the 5,000-meter run with a PR time of 15:59.87 while freshman Owen Nahf took third in the race in 16:03.30 and freshman Nathan Hajel was fourth in a time of 16:03.76
  • Freshman Trevor Gray placed fourth in the 60-meter dash in a time of 7.18 seconds, and he finished eighth in the 200-meter dash in 23.85 seconds
  • Freshman Jason Gartner took ninth in the 60-meter hurdles in 10.52 seconds
  • Graduate student Peter Gingrich finished eighth in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:03.38
  • Senior Dominic DeRafelo was third in the 3,000-meter run in a PR time of 8:59.36 while sophomore Josh Mangini took seventh in 9:10.47
  • The Greyhounds' 4x400-meter "A" relay of Duffy, DeRafelo, sophomore Casey Frank and freshman Jake Farrell finished fifth in a time of 3:42.13 while the "B" relay squad of Gartner, sophomores Lance Burrier and Marco Calantoni and freshman Joe Tivade took seventh in 3:49.18
  • Junior Dan Jenkins finished third in the 35-pound weight throw with PR and All-Atlantic Region Track & Field Qualifying distance of 15.80 meters (51-10), the fifth best throw in school history. Senior Tim King placed fifth with an AARTF qualifying mark of 15.18 meters (49-9.75)
  • Graduate student Shane Mastro finished fifth in the shot put with an AARTF qualifying toss of 14.69 meters (48-2.5)
  • Senior Max Schuman took sixth in the pole vault at a height of 3.96 meters (12-11.75)
