Greyhounds Post Four AARTF Qualifying Marks to Start Outdoor Season at Lafayette Open

EASTON, Pa. --- The Moravian University men's outdoor track & field team began its 2022 outdoor schedule at the Lafayette College Open, and the Greyhounds posted four All-Atlantic Region Track & Field qualifying marks.

Top 10 Results

  • Graduate student Shane Mastro was the runner-up in the shot put with an All-Atlantic Region Track & Field qualifying toss of 14.79 meters (48-6.25) while senior Tim King finished with a PR and an AARTF qualifying mark of 13.80 meters (45-3.5)
  • Mastro was also ninth in the discus with an AARTF qualifying toss of 42.26 meters (138-7)
  • Freshman Trevor Gray took second in the 100-meter dash in an AARTF qualifying time of 10.98 seconds while sophomore Jared Santos was tenth in the race in a PR time of 11.32 seconds
  • Gray also finished fifth in the 200-meter dash in 22.63 seconds
  • Junior Dan Jenkins was eighth in the hammer throw with a toss of 45.92 meters (150-8)
  • Junior Eric Keck finished eighth in the javelin with a distance of 39.47 meters (129-6)
  • Freshman Owen Sabastro took ninth in the long jump at 5.35 meters (17-6.75)
  • Senior Michael Lerch placed fifth in the 3,000-meter steeplechase in a time of 10:54.28, and he was followed by senior Richard Glennon in sixth place in 10:59.48 and junior Christian Jancsarics in seventh with a time of 11:13.56
  • Freshman Owen Nahf placed third in the 5,000-meter run with a time of 15:40.16 while junior Liam Duffy took sixth in a PR time of 15:43.74, freshman Nathan Hajel was eighth in 15:59.58 and senior Dominic DeRafelo placed ninth in 15:56.32
  • Graduate student Peter Gingrich took ninth in the 1,500-meter run in a time of 4:12.28
  • Freshman Joe Tivade was sixth in the 110-meter high hurdles in 17.43 seconds while junior Ethan Cherunin finished seventh in 17.48 seconds and freshman Jason Gartner placed eighth in 19.18 seconds
  • Gartner took third in the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 1:02.30 while Cherubin was fourth in 1:02.57 and Tivade finished sixth in 1:05.41
  • Sophomore Matt Shea took sixth in the 400-meter dash in 57.24 seconds while sophomore Lance Burrier was eighth in 58.50 seconds
  • Freshman Geoffrey Kleinberg finished sixth in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:07.63 while sophomore Paul Petre was eighth in 2:10.38
  • The Greyhounds "B" 4x400-meter relay team of Petre, senior Brad Clemson and sophomores Casey Frank and Brendon Ward finished fifth in a time of 3:40.57 while the "A" relay squad of Gingrich, Kleinberg and freshmen Jake Farrell and Wyatt Poniktera placed eighth in 3:44.35
