Mastro Sets School Mark in Shot Put at Princeton

PRINCETON, N.J. --- The Moravian University men's outdoor track & field squad sent two competitors to the Princeton University Elite Invitational Saturday. 

Moravian Competitors

  • Graduate student Shane Mastro placed third in the shot put with a school record, a Landmark Conference record, a PR toss and All-Atlantic Region Track & Field qualifying distance of 16.11 meters (52-10.25). The mark moves Mastro to 15th in the nation on the Track & Field Results Reporting System list with the top 20 in each individual event as of May 20 will compete at the 2022 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships at the SPIRE Institute in Geneva, Ohio. Mastro's school record mark came on his first throw of the meet at Princeton Saturday afternoon
  • Junior Dan Jenkins competed in the hammer throw but did not register a mark
