How It Happened

  • The Hounds get on the board first with a jump shot from senior forward Brielle Guarente after just eight seconds. • Freshman Ellie Wallbillich scored the first points of the second quarter for Moravian on a made layup. Moravian cut the Drew lead to as close as four in the second quarter, but would trail the Rangers 30-23 headed into the halftime break.
  • Guarente again had the opening points of the quarter on a made jump shot two minutes into the action. Senior guard Mikayla Anderson scored the next points of the game to get the Hounds within three points of the Rangers. However, a five-point run by Drew later in the quarter helped to propel the Rangers into the fourth quarter with an 11-point lead.
  • The Hounds made four three-pointers in the fourth quarter but could not overcome the deficit and fall to Drew 70-55.
