BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian University women's soccer team scored the lone goal of the match late in the second half to earn a 1-0 victory over visiting Lebanon Valley College in non-conference action on John Makuvek Field to begin the 2024 season Friday evening.
How It Happened
- The squads played a scoreless first half
- Senior forward Carly Pyatt got onto the scoreboard in the 74th minute with an unassisted goal. Pyatt's first shot was saved; however, the rebound ended up back on her foot and she drilled the shot, her tenth of the match, into the back of the left side of the net
Inside the Numbers
- Pyatt's goal is the eighth of her career for the Greyhounds
- Graduate student goalie Riley Spingler recorded three saves for the shutout in her first contest for the Blue & Grey
- Moravian finished the night with a 20-7 advantage in shots and an 8-2 edge in corner kicks
