EDWARDSVILLE, Pa. --- The Moravian University women's soccer team scored late to snap a 1-1 tie and earn a 2-1 Landmark Conference victory at Wilkes University Saturday as the Greyhounds won their first conference contest of the season.
How It Happened
- The Colonels began the scoring in the 11th minute off of a corner kick
- The Hounds responded just over three minutes later as senior forward Carly Pyatt knocked in a crossing pass from senior midfielder Sydney DeFranco
- The match remained tied until the 82nd minute when senior defender Hailey Scaff put a free kick into the right side of the net for the winning goal
Inside the Numbers
- Pyatt recorded her team-leading fifth goal of the season and the 12th of her career while Scaff netted her first goal of 2024 and the second of her career
- DeFranco earned her first assist of the fall and second of her career
- Sophomore goalie Caitlyn Philips registered two saves in the victory, her fourth of the year
- The Hounds had a 13-5 advantage in shots, and a 3-2 edge in corner kicks
