BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian University women's soccer squad recorded a 3-0 victory over visiting Eastern University in the Hounds' final non-conference match of the 2024 season at John Makuvek Field Wednesday.
How It Happened
- The Greyhounds took a 1-0 lead in the ninth minute as senior midfielder Taylor Yoder put in a loose ball after a corner kick
- Moravian made the edge 2-0 in the 21st minute as senior forward Carly Pyatt headed in a short crossing pass from senior midfielder Kylie Hughes
- Junior forward Colby Roach finished the scoring with a marker in the second half as she headed home a free kick from senior defender Hailey Scaff in the 78th minute
Inside the Numbers
- Yoder netted her first goal of the season and second of her career and her first goal since the 2021 season
- Pyatt notched her team-leading four marker of the fall and 11th of her career while Roach scored for the first time this season and the second time in her career
- Hughes earned her first assist of 2024 and third of her Moravian career while Scaff registered her first assist of the season and third of her career as well
- Sophomore goalie Caitlyn Philips posted one save in her second shutout of the season
- The Blue & Grey had a 19-4 advantage in shots and an 8-3 edge in corner kicks
- The shutout was the fourth straight for the Moravian defense
