Greyhounds Fall to Drew in Landmark Conference Action
BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian University women’s soccer squad led 1-0 at halftime before falling to visiting Drew University, 2-1, in Landmark Conference action on John Makuvek Field Wednesday evening.

BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian University women's soccer squad led 1-0 at halftime before falling to visiting Drew University, 2-1, in Landmark Conference action on John Makuvek Field Wednesday evening.
How It Happened
- The Greyhounds took a 1-0 lead in the 21st minute as senior midfielder Kylie Hughes took a long pass from junior defender Grace Blenis and put a shot inside the right points
- The Rangers countered in the 64th minute with a goal off of a corner kick
- Drew took a 2-1 advantage just under three minutes later with a rebound shot inside the right post after a hit crossbar and a save in a span of ten seconds
Inside the Numbers
- Hughes' goal was her second of the season and fifth of her career while Blenis earned her first career assists
- Graduate student goalie Riley Spingler recorded five saves in the match as her streak of scoreless time ended at 488 minutes with the Rangers first goal. Spingler had not allowed a goal since September 18
- The Hounds held a 9-4 edge in corner kicks while the Rangers had a 16-14 advantage in shots
