Greyhounds Play to Scoreless Draw with Rutgers-Newark

BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian University women's soccer team played to a scoreless draw with visiting Rutgers-Newark in non-conference action on John Makuvek Field Saturday evening. 

How It Happened

  • The Greyhounds had a 3-0 advantage in shots on goal in the first half but were unable to find the net
  • The Scarlet Raiders recorded three shots on goal in the second half while Moravian had one 

Inside the Numbers

  • Graduate student goalie Riley Spingler played the opening 45 minutes for the Greyhounds while sophomore Caitlyn Philips registered three saves in the second half as the duo combined on the shutout
  • The Hounds finished the night with a 13-6 edge in shots and an 11-0 advantage in corner kicks
