Greyhounds Blank Colby-Sawyer for Second Consecutive Shutout Victory

BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian University women's soccer squad recorded its second straight 1-0 shutout of the 2024 season, defeating visiting Colby-Sawyer (N.H.) College in non-conference action on John Makuvek Field Sunday afternoon.

How It Happened

  • The Hounds scored just over six minutes into the first half when junior forward Elliot Rupp one-touched a crossing pass from senior forward Carly Pyatt into the right side of the net
  • The marker would be the only tally of the match as the Greyhounds finished with a 9-1 advantage in shots on goal

Inside the Numbers

  • Rupp's goal was the third of her career at Moravian and first since the 2022 campaign
  • Pyatt recorded her first assists of the year and second of her career
  • Graduate student goalie Riley Spingler registered on save for her second consecutive clean sheet for the Blue & Grey
  • The Hounds held an 18-2 advantage in shots and an 11-2 edge in corner kicks
